I started this blog 3 years ago and was pretty regular, I log in and noticed I haven't posted in 3 years!! I deleted most of my older blogs but kept a couple of my favorites. I will start to blog certain sessions from here on out. :)

Dancing in the Rain

Not a gray cloud on the sky when I walked out of work yesterday in Gardiner. On my way to Waterville the sky started to turn.
As we were sorting through outfits and getting Mikayla’s makeup done we were looking outside as the sky got darker!

 

Mikayla seriously looked like she stepped out of a chic magazine. The outfits she brought were AMAZING. This girl was not afraid of a pop of color & showing her style. Makeup looking flawless, and her hair waved to perfection. There was no way I was going to reschedule because of some dark clouds.

 

We made it through the first outfit, and as we came out I the second it started to drizzle, but no worries, Mikayla’s mom came prepared with 2 oversized umbrellas.

 

Back in the studio while Mikayla changed into her 3^rd outfit the drizzle turned to rain, but Mikayla had her heart set on taking some photos on the bridge, and I am all about making my clients happy.

 

We drove over, and the lightning started, we both just looked at each other, and kept walking onto the bridge.

 

At this point, its down pouring, thunder, lightning, strong winds & we are on a metal bridge, Mikayla’s mom shielding me & the camera with the umbrella, and me shooting with my right hand, and pulling my sweater with my left hand to shield the side wind and rain from getting the camera.

 

Mikayla, did not miss a beat! She was working it, using the wind and rain as a prop, and the bridge as her personal run way.

 

By the time we were done, we were all laughing so hard because we couldn’t believe we just did that, we were soaked, mascara down to our chins, and freezing….

 

But we got some amazing amazing shots.

Senior 2014 Kayla P.

Hey Everyone,
I know, I know, I need to blog more!! I keep forgetting.
But this session was one that I needed to share!!
This is Kayla, and her senior session was amazing!!!

Kayla recently lost over 50lbs, with hard work and dedication. No diet here, just a life style change over the past year! she looks and feels great and I admire her 1 million percent for all of her hard work! She is such a role model for those looking for a healthier life style!

So here is why her session really took the cake. Her father and mother came to the session. Now her father has to be one of the most AMAZING, supportive fathers that I have ever met!! He was just blown away after seeing his little girl all done up with hair and makeup, and watching her model in front of the camera. He was standing there,

"Work it Kayla!"
"That's my daughter!"
"You look so beautiful Kayla!"

 It was so incredibly touching!!!

He was also super supportive of me, saying "this is why we came to Amanda Noel Photography!"
& telling me that I was in high demand and that "all the girls have to come to Amanda Noel Photography" and that I am the name going around the school!

YUP, that made me feel awesome to hear that!!!

This session is by far one I will always remember :)
