Not a gray cloud on the sky when I walked out of work
yesterday in Gardiner. On my way to Waterville the sky started to turn.
As we
were sorting through outfits and getting Mikayla’s makeup done we were looking
outside as the sky got darker!
Mikayla seriously looked like she stepped out of a chic
magazine. The outfits she brought were AMAZING. This girl was not afraid of a
pop of color & showing her style. Makeup looking flawless, and her hair waved to
perfection. There was no way I was going to reschedule because of some dark
clouds.
We made it through the first outfit, and as we came out I the
second it started to drizzle, but no worries, Mikayla’s mom came prepared with
2 oversized umbrellas.
Back in the studio while Mikayla changed into her 3rd
outfit the drizzle turned to rain, but Mikayla had her heart set on taking some
photos on the bridge, and I am all about making my clients happy.
We drove over, and the lightning started, we both just
looked at each other, and kept walking onto the bridge.
At this point, its down pouring, thunder, lightning, strong
winds & we are on a metal bridge, Mikayla’s mom shielding me & the
camera with the umbrella, and me shooting with my right hand, and pulling my
sweater with my left hand to shield the side wind and rain from getting the
camera.
Mikayla, did not miss a beat! She was working it, using the
wind and rain as a prop, and the bridge as her personal run way.
By the time we were done, we were all laughing so hard
because we couldn’t believe we just did that, we were soaked, mascara down to
our chins, and freezing….
But we got some amazing amazing shots.
